How much radio experience do I need?
None! Nearly all of our new members join without any previous experience. We offer a range of training sessions to help you learn the tricks of the trade! Everyone on the Xpress team once started from scratch when they joined, so don't be afraid to ask questions!
Is Xpress just a radio station?
Xpress Radio is much more than a simple radio station. We are a group of welcoming and creative people, with a wide range of interests. We look forward to having lots of socials this coming year; some related to the radio and others just to have some fun!
My first language is Welsh, do I have to speak English on Xpress?
No. Welsh speakers are a major part of Xpress' content, and we're proud of it!
What if I'm not the biggest music fan?
Radio isn't just all about music. Xpress offers you the opportunity to be creative and create content that interests you. If you want to talk about it, there's a place on Xpress for you.
What if I don't want to do radio as a job?
Xpress members are a varied mix of people: those who want to get involved with the industry and those who are simply looking for a worthwhile outlet. Xpress provides everyone who joins with useful skills for a career in broadcasting, but in lots of other industries too.
How much does it cost to join?
To join Xpress is just a one-off membership payment of £10. This gives you access to the state-of-the-art studio and helps keep all our equipment up to date!
